Welcome to Loafy23's Music pages!

Well... I guess it's about time that something got done with this page.  It's just very hard for me to define my musical taste.

Techno music is at the heart of my love of music.  That's not to say that it's my only interest though.  My interest in music ranges from Anthrax and Antiloop to ZZ Top and Zebra.  I think that I'll just list some of my favorite artists and that way you'll have a good idea of what I'll listen to.  Although the "No Rap or Country" statement is almost cliche there isn't much from either of those genres that I'd own or listen to if I had my choice.  I do own a couple CDs that could be considered Rap but I don't think that I have a single country song unless you count Nine Inch Richards' Closer to Hogs.

It's very hard to put in to words how I feel about music so this page is particularly difficult to do. I find that so many people listen to a type of music because their friends or peers listen to it. I cannot do that. I did, to a certain degree, when I was a teenager. At the same time I'm not one to put in music that everyone else isn't going to like if I'm in a group of people.  I can listen to and almost stand just about any kind of music.  I've had to listen to my fair share of country music in bars and such.

If you want it broken down into genres I guess I'd have to say that I listen to music from:

Techno
Classical
Blues
Jazz
Rock (Rush is one of my alltime favorites)
New Age
Regae
Some Pop
Some Rap

Some music has a "message" and some music is made for a reason other than to make money. Each person has their reason for listening. I listen to what sounds good to me. My fiancee and I have similar interests in music but there are many artists that I listen to that she won't even stay in the room with when I'm listening. She likes her music for her reasons and I like mine for mine. Does this make her wrong in her choice? No. Listen to what you want to. It's your life and you should enjoy the music in it. Here I want to tell you about what I think is good in music.
