Sir Folly of the Bear (Bear Bear) is a large (15LB.) grey/tan tabby. He's just the happiest, friendliest cat in the world. He's very un-cat like. He comes to you when you call him. Bear Bear is happiest when he has a lap to sit on and a hand to pet him. My fiancee found him in a pet store in the Ohio Valley Mall near Wheeling, WV about five years ago (before we met.) She says he picked her out. Easy to believe if you ever met Bear Bear. He was in a wire cage and when she walked by he reached out and grabbed her. The rest is history. Squirrel. What can I say about this cat... She's a progeny of Bear Bear. Whether she is his daughter or granddaughter or what, we don't know. This is all due to circumstances I won't go in to here. This cat looks like a grey tabby kitten that was dipped in bleach. She's tabby on top and white on the bottom. Squirrel weighs in at a very light three pounds or so. I can also tell you that very little of that weight is brain. She has got to be one of the stupidest cats on the planet. Most cats can jump from one chair to the other without crashing. Not this one. She's lucky to walk without falling down. I've never had so much trouble with a cat in my life. For the first two weeks she was here all she did was growl and hiss at everything and everyone. Now she's a love slut. The purring almost never ceases and she head-buts just about anything that gets in her path. Some cats are vocal. Squirrel goes way beyond most of those vocal cats. She'll sit and have a conversation with you if you pay the slightest bit of attention to her. She frustrates me on a daily basis but I love her just the same. Saying goodbye... Squirrel has left us. She died on 5-14-97 at 3:00am. She'd
been sick for some time. We fed her with a syringe and gave her her
medicines and injected lactated ringers under her skin to keep her hydrated.
She lived with us for about three years of her approximate three and a
half years. She annoyed me at times, frustrated me at others but
I always loved her and I'll miss her greatly. Unfortunately I don't
have any pictures of her... I always meant to but I never got around
to it. I wonder where she is at times and go to call out for her and then
I realize that she not here anymore...
