Tending Garden

This garden was beautiful once,
for it was kept with wonderful care.
The owners grew thoughtless however,
their methods became laissez-faire.
Weeds found their way inside this place,
killing off things that were pure.
If only someone didn't neglect the garden,
the solution would have been a simple cure.
Flowers were strangled and wilted,
rodents were allowed to roam.
Ugliness was flourishing all over,
attractiveness had to find a new home.
If only someone would take more time,
and give the proper supervision.
Maybe the garden will flourish once again,
if the caretaker makes the right decision.
