Destruction and Restoration

Destruction was facing me a short time ago,
all my hopes and dreams appeared to be in ruin.
Waves of uncertainty left me in a mindset,
the plans of my life were now to be disrupted.

Mistakes of others threatened me,
bringing upon fear and anguish.
Nervous system in overdrive,
panic drove me forward again.

Others told me not to worry,
it will all work out in the end.
I told them "thank you" with a smile,
but it didn't put me at ease.

The announcement came that everything is restored,
I felt a sense of relief come over my body.
My mind is at rest for I can dream again,
of my future plans filled with happiness and love.
