22nd Squadron ("Ghostcats") RP Session Descriptions and Rules

      Basic Rules

No teleporting or remote looking -- this includes @move, @go, @who, @audit, who, @examine, @show, and so forth. You must move from room to room by moving through a room's doorways, and entering a ship or other such construct using (enter name) and (leave).
No shooting non-combatants or other players. You *may* shoot drones, Chigs, and AIs, and they may try to shoot you, but only during the course of the game.
Please try to be as courteous as possible towards other players, role-playing or non-role-playing, sleeping or awake.
Please follow all direction carefully. Each scenario has it's own rules and special cases.

      Intruder Alert

Scenario: The object of the game is to hunt down an intruder, usually an AI, who in turn will try to destroy the 'Toga. During the game, you try to shoot the AI, who also will shoot back.
      Rules:
      (1) You must stay on the 'Toga, which means in rooms connected to one another
and to the main 'Toga construct.
      (2) You cannot teleport or use remote look verbs to move around or determine
other people's or object's locations. These verbs include @move, @go,
      @examine, @show, @dump, @audit, who, @who, and other such verbs.
      (3) The game includes only the intruder and those hunting it. All other
people, awake or sleeping, are non-combatants, and are not to be shot.
      (4) You may use only weapons that send people to sickbay. If you don't have
one, (@create $weapon called M-590), and when the game starts, find the
armory and load it as part of the game.
      (5) You may use the =pub channel for OOC game communication, and =22 for
IC game communication. If you are not familiar with this, page me, and I
will stay behind long enough to get you set up with the channels.
      (6) IC play starts from the moment the Klaxon sounds the alert, but wait for
a signal from the highest ranking officer in the room before actually starting.
Listen carefully for directions at all times.
      (7) If you are hit, you are to remain in sickbay until the Klaxon sounds the
all-clear. If you hit the AI, please announce it ICly over the =22 channel.

      Tools needed: (1) Make sure you are on the =22 and =pub comms, and have (@addfeature #998). (2) a weapon (@create $weapon called M-590).

      Drone Hunt

Scenario: The object of the game is to practice flying your SA-43's in formation, while clearing space and nearby planets of the drones commonly used for target practice.
      Rules:
      (1) You will proceed to the flight deck as a group, receive any last minute
instructions from the highest ranking officer flying, get in your planes at
his/her instructions, radio 'Toga flight control (over =22 or =pub if
necessary) for clearance to launch, then wait in space for the group to
      acheive formation.
      (2) Follow the instructions of your flight leader at all times. You may fly
as a group to a given planet, or you may be directed to split up, sweep a
location, and then rendezvous back at another place.
      (3) During the course of the game, you are to shoot only drones, which *may*
also shoot back. If you are hit, you are to remain where towed until the game
resets, or until you are cleared to return by the person running the senario.
      (4) You may use the =pub channel for OOC game communication, and =22 for
IC game communication. If you are not familiar with this, page me, and I
will stay behind long enough to get you set up with the channels.
      (5) If you do not have an SA-43 yet, go to the flight deck with everyone else,
and once there requisition one (OOCly by typing <@create #875 called my_hh_name>
and ). You should, before launching, briefly familiarize
yourself with the controls and the flight computer (OOCly by typing
       and ).

Tools needed: Make certain you are on the comm channels (see session 1) and have created a hammerhead for yourself (@create #875 called hh_name).

      Social RP

Scenario: This session is called the 'Social RP', and the purpose of this is to hone your abilities to interact with one another on a purely social level. Try to get to know one another's characters (and your own) more fully, while having some fun chatting.
Rules: Be polite. Stay in character.
Tools needed: <@addfeature #998> so you have the ooc verb.

      Graduation RP and Ceremony

      Scenario: Classified.
Rules: Will be given at the mission briefing.
Tools needed: Practice ISSCV flight beforehand (there is usually one in the bay (room #61) to practice with). The ISSCV will be provided for the actual mission.
For those who pass all 4 scenarios, a graduation ceremony (either group or individual) will take place, followed by a short formal reception for group ceremonies. The graduating group/person is then encouraged to give an IC party (non-formal) to celebrate with friends. :)
