KINSON
Kinson sees Max heading toward the smoke and yells:
"Max, think about it, Birds fear smoke; to a bird smoke means fire, why would he fly through it?"
Then he whispers to himself, "unless the smoke wasn't there when
he flew by..."
Kinson starts to follow Max and the others.
VORIAX
Voriax, shaking his head in disbelief, looks to Legildur.
"Should I cast the web through the smoke and risk getting everyone, or do we follow them?"
ALOF
When I see the others rush into the smoke I stand still and wait to see
whether or not a spell is cast. If it is I follow with a pair of daggers
in hand. If there is no spell I will follow Legildur into the smoke if
he chooses to go in.
KADDAR
Once the four of us are inside , you hear Kaddar screaming:
"CHAAAAARGE !!!!!".
KINSON
Kinson yells, "Come through the smoke, NOW! Prepare for battle."
OOC:
Peeking through the smoke and casting web into the room,
would have been preferable.
LEGILDUR
OOC:
Ahh hindsight - 'tis a wonderful thing. :-)
BIC:
Legildur is watching Alof's and Biladoc's movement closely as the
begin to head west. His concentration is broken by Max's sudden outburst
and he turns in time to see the mage rush towards the smoke wall.
"Damn impetuous human!!" he curses to himself as he raps his shield lightly to get the scout's attention.
With Vinguard drawn and held at waist height, Legildur advances rapidly on
the smoke wall where Max, Saggar, Kinson and Kaddar have entered.
"This is going to hurt." he says more to himself than anyone else.
"No spells yet Voriax." he answers the mage as he passes by with Alof in tow.
Without hesitating, Legildur steps through the smoke wall heading to the
right (west) to get him away from the entry point.
BILADOC
"Blasted $%$/"#$# humans! Here we go again... Wish Kinson had said what's
in there... Oh well, I'll soon find out..."
I'll wait for the others to move in and move close to the wall inside
the room, two daggers ready to throw at the first enemy I see. I'll
try to just wound him/her/it/they, so we can interrogate him/her/it/they. If I have to, however, I won't hesitate to kill him/her/it/they.
VORIAX
"Allrighty then. I guess I'll follow as well. No sense being left behind."
Voriax heads after Legildur.
KINSON
OOC:
Just an Ancient Wind Dragon, but it's okay, she's a Hobbit-a-tarian.
As Homer Simpson would say: "Mmmmmmmmm. Hobbit..."
Ever been to a Hobbit roast? Sort of like a pig roast, but you don't
have to dig the hole, just find a nice Hobbit home dug into some hill,
throw in a bunch of hot coals, and cover the doors and windows. In
a few hours the main course is ready.
Please forgive me Paulo! It's been a nasty day at work and I'm feeling
a bit rebellious. I would never want Biladoc to come to harm.
Although... we could have tied a rope to you and thrown you through the
smoke, then dragged you back like bait. Everyone in the room might
have died from laughing too hard.
Kinson has a clairvoyant thought, Biladoc's going to be in a bad mood,
better avoid him for a while.
:-) :-0 :-)
Charles, John Rhodes has been in a major (customer attended) Design Review for the past several days, that's probably why he hasn't responded.
He was casting Charm Person, right? And you asked him to check if
that spell required him to touch the victim (I forgot to check myself --
can anyone confirm/deny touching required for Charm Person?).
Since the spell is still active, I suspect he would make an attempt to
touch the intended target. I suggest you play him this way.
Of course this Assumes he's not lying on the floor bleeding to death,
he took a -9hp hit didn't he? Does he have that many HPs?
ALOF
OOC:
Upon hearing this humour, Alof gives Kinson a dirty look and
launches a pair of daggers +20 at him.
:-)
Hehe I'm in a good mood tonight, just got back from a date.
DM
A battle continues as Biladoc enters through the smoke filled curtain followed shortly there after by Timor.
(Now everyone is in the room)
The room is 60 by 60 feet. The entrance you just walked through is in the north wall thirty feet from the East side. There is another curtain of smoke, marking another doorway, in the west wall twenty feet from the north. By that I mean it is taking up the twenty foot square. Leaving only ten feet to the north until it meets the corner. (Make sense I hope).
There is a cluster of people next to the doorway you just came through. Several of the company of the Silver Blade including now Biladoc and Timor and four large dark skinned warriors wearing chain armour. They are wielding large wicked looking two-handed swords and have bows and quivers upon their backs. They wear helmets designed to look like demonic faces.
In the centre of the room are some more of the company of the Silver Blade including Kinson. There with them are four priests in black robes and bald heads. One of these Priests lies dead on the floor. In this centre area is also a Pentagram drawn with some sort of glittering dust. In this Pentagram floats Soloman the owl, trapped in some sort of blue energy field in mid air. Further south is a table and a thin man with a wicked curved dagger.
He is lingering towards a nude, attractive, muscular, female with long white
hair that is chained to the south wall. Her left arm is free. A broken chain dangles from the manacle attached to her left wrist. Blood can be seen at her wrist and ankles. In the North West corner are some packs piled up.
(Now for the battle)
Kinson moves forward towards the thin priest. However a black robed priest
steps between them and swings his dagger at him. Kinson notes that the dagger is covered in some sort of yellow paste. Kinson brings his sword across in a long swiping move. The priest gurgles as his head separates from his shoulders. His dagger slips from his hands and falls to the stone floor with a clatter that is swallowed by the din of battle. Kinson moves forward now right behind the "head priest".
Kaddar, also fighting another one of the black robed priests, swings his staff. However, the priest manages to duck the staff swing and lunges forward with his dagger. The dagger finds its mark, cutting Kaddar across the chest (-3hp). Kaddar winces from the pain but is not hampered.
However, he quickly feels numbness from his chest area... (Ok Manuel, the
dagger was poisoned. I will let you role the saving throw versus poison and let me know how it turns out).
Legildur, seeing the pentagram is empty, charges the thin man near the table as he yells "Fry him Voriax" while pointing Vinguard at the evil priest. He ignores any attempts to impede his progress by relying on speed and aggression to close the distance, only making perfunctory parries on the way through to the evil head priest (assumption). The sight of a charging plate-mail armoured, shield and sword bearing warrior will hopefully intimidate any prospective interlopers.
The third black robed priest leaps in front of Legildur, slashing with his
dagger. The dagger bangs off Legildur's shield as he charges right through
him, knocking him to the side as he moves to engage the head priest. The head priest raises his dagger to strike at the chained female. She raises her arm as the priest notices Legildur bearing down on him. He ducks as Legildur swings his glowing sword. The sword misses him as the priest brings the dagger up under Legildur's shield. The dagger digs underneath the links of the plate and cuts Legildur (-4 hp) and a numbing sensation starts spreading from the wound.
(Life drain -3 more hit points. Keep track of how many you loose this way as healing is much more difficult.)
Wrent attacks one of the large two hand swinging guards missing him twice as the nimble man dodges and strikes with his two-handed sword. The guard warrior hits Wrent, cutting his left shoulder (-4hp). Alof throws two daggers towards the high priest, one hits the priest drawing blood from the high priest. Saggar swings his axe up, slashing the large warrior in front of him. The warrior moans as he swings his two-handed sword at Saggar, missing him.
Voriax stands in shock at the scene. He stares at the female across the room, on the wall. (Best I could come up with no post.) Max touches the third warrior who is attacking him and a numbed look crosses the guards face. Max says, "Protect me" The forth warrior attacks Voriax who parries with his staff.
ACTIONS please.
TIMOR
Timor specifically waits to be the last one through the misty wall; he
can tell by people's actions that they are already engaged in battle and
he would probably only get in the way right now - no one would even begin
to listen to any diplomatic solutions (since the battle is (presumably)
already underway - and still, he does not know what lay in await on the
other side.
He gives one more glance back down the hallway to make sure no one else
is coming after them, as he does so, he soft brown hair (now turning a
little oily from lack of wash during these spelunking days) bounces back
and fourth atop the crown of his head.
OOC:
Did Timor see (even though his eyes aren't worth crap down here)
any one else heading this way?
BIC:
With staff firmly in hand, Timor now rushes forward through the smoke.
His first action as soon as he hurries through will be to remain as close
to the wall of smoke - he doesn't want to want to accidentally run directly
into the middle of everything after all!
Once on the other side, he will take a good moment to get a grasp of the
situation and surroundings.
DM
Biladoc is the last before Timor to enter the curtain of smoke. Timor looks
down the hall and sees no one coming down it.
VORIAX
OOC:
Sorry for the delay. That colour spray is now going to be aimed at this
idiot in front of me trying to skewer me. What is it about guys with
swords? Always trying to stick someone!!
:-)
Voriax, finally recovering from his shock and alcoholic binge.
TIMOR
{I know this is perhaps up to par as one of my usually long-winded posts,
but I couldn't think of a single way to size it down... and truth be told, I
sorta like it the way it is now :}
OOC:
There are a couple contingents listed below, so please just use what ever is
appropriate or not and of course, if I gave too many actions, save
whatever is left over for the next round - but I am assuming these folks
to have better saving throws than the humanoids we fought earlier, so
this may be a bit more difficult than hoped ;
BIC:
Timor's eyes widen and his skin shivers as he absorbs the scene around
him. During the conflicts the others are involved in, chances are that
torches and lanterns have been dropped or extinguished, meaning that only
the azure glow of the energy field surrounding Solomon illuminates the
room enough for Timor's human eyes. When his gaze falls upon the
manacled woman, his heart fills with terror at the thought of what is
about to be done. (Notice Timor's good nature is assuming she is here
against her will, in all actuality that may or may not be the truth of
the case)
The brown eyed priest's mind races - he starts to think back to his
enlightened experiences at the temple...he has to try something, even if
it is a bit risky - he can only hope his faith will protect him. As his
metallic staff is only taking up space right now, he slips it in-between
his back and pack hoping that it will stay there for the two second he
needs his hands free.
As one hand slides up his belly to grasp his medallion, his other hand
reaches back to a fold in his pack where he keeps a small silver mirror.
With both items grasped firmly in his now sweaty palms, Timor begins a
prayer to Elanna.
"Elanna, grant me security and strength in the upcoming moments. I, your humble servant Timor, beseech you - sanctuary...."
(Note to DM: I am attempting to cast the sanctuary spell)
Timor retrieves his staff and then begins running towards the south wall
where the nude woman continues to be trapped. He tries to stay out of
swinging range of all friends and foes between his current position and
the location of his destination, running along the room's perimeter if
necessary (Elanna's sanctuary may offer protection, but why take a chance
if you can avoid it :)
As he moves, Timor watches his friends become injured. He also notices
that the wounds of his companions are swelling and foaming in an abnormal
manner - he knows of a trick with garlic that might be able to slow the
abnormal wound's damage, but Timor can't allow himself to be distracted
by that right now - the prisoner has become his first priority[Not cause
she's nude, but because she is a prisoner ;), he has been with the others
long enough that they can handle at least a little bit more than the
average person before needing Elanna's help.
If someone does engage him, Timor tries to out run, dodge, and avoid the
fight - he knows his prayer won't last long since his bond with Elanna is
still relatively immature - so, he doesn't want to waste its time if he
can help it.
The one confrontation that Timor has the least chance of avoiding
(though, take note, I am still hoping the sanctuary spell can allow
Timor to avoid this as well) is the confrontation with the priest
wielding the curved dagger who was preparing to slice into the nude
woman.
If the spell has worn off by this time, or if that priest has seemed to
broken past the sanctuary spell, Timor (still in a rush to get to the
prisoner) snarls at the dark priest.
"May the holy light of Elanna help you see the path of good that your own mind has avoided."
With that said, Timor directs the holy light of Elanna directly into the eyes of
the priest. Something Timor has never done before, but drastic times
call for drastic measures after all! :)
(DM That's a light spell by the way)
If Timor does make it to the nude woman, he tugs at the manacle on her
right hand in rage. (I know, it won't work, but heck, Timor just had to
try it). As he sees his strength is getting him no where (though there
is a small chance that it may) he stares into the eyes of the woman and
merely says:
"Do not fear, Elanna's helping hand shall see to your
safety, protection and escape."
If he hasn't already, Timor will now engage the dark priest with the
sacrificial knife since Timor assumes that priest to be the one who would
have a key to the chains. I refer you to the earlier casting of a light
spell on the priest's eyes. And then after that, Timor will begin
attacking with his staff (Yes, I did just say Timor would attack with a
weapon - this would be the second time he has ever lifted a weapon in the
two years I've played in Artisc ;)
(If Timor goes down, obviously I can't do much)
(If the dark priest goes down) Timor notices the prisoner's immediate
threat has ceased. So he can at least take a quick moment to help his
friends. He reaches into his pouch and pulls one of his two remaining
small straight shards of metal.
"May the evil that overcomes your soul be your own entrapment - by the purity of Elanna, let you be held in your place."
(DM: Casting hold person on as many suckers he can get in the area of
effect, or, against whichever one looks like it is about to successfully
kill a friend of his :)
Once that is done! - Timor will go back to searching the downed evil
priest near the prisoner and search for a key to the manacle or some other
way to break her free if possible.
LEGILDUR
Legildur grimaces as the high priest's poisoned dagger breaches his
defences. He backs off slightly after the hit, and his miss, just in time
to see a dagger from Alof strike the high priest. Realising that this
priest is more dangerous than Legildur originally assumed (or very lucky),
he attacks more warily and steps in to strike twice at the evil man, at
least confident now that he cannot harm the chained girl whilst occupied
with him.
KADDAR
Kaddar feels the numbness sensation slowly invading all his body from his chest.
I am hurt, but there is nothing much I can do about it right now. I will move half step back, hold the staff only with the left hand, quickly take a dagger from my cloths with the right one, only this time I will not swing over the "ducking" priest, I will wait for him to attempt to hit me with his dagger so I can use the staff to block the hit (by a small and firm swing over his hand movement) and then I will stave my dagger on him. If he does not attempt to hit, then I will throw the dagger at him and then I will swing with the staff.
If by any chance the priest is no longer attacking me (because he moved, fall, or because someone else attacks him), then I will try to prevent the poison to propagate, by using the dagger to cut the wound surroundings and then squeezing my own chest with both hands as hard as I can.
WRENT
Wrent keeps fighting the warriors, he keeps protecting Max as he fights.
First attack he made one swing with the left and one with the right, but he should made 2 attacks with his right hand because of his weapon specialisation. This time he should do 2 swings with the right hand, 3 in total, since his attack is: 3 hits each 2 rounds with the right hand and one per round with the left one.
OOC:
Sorry I was having troubles with my mail and it seems that only Charles was receiving them.
KINSON
Standing directly behind the high priest Kinson waits for Legildur
to attack, then times a Battle cry for the same instance in an attempted
distraction. He may be unwilling to back stab, but distraction is a
valued tool of any conflict.
If Kinson can move to and attack another enemy in this round, he will
leave the high priest to Legildur's blade. Any other enemy is defined
as priest or guard, whichever is closer.
BILADOC
OOC:
Great, one naked female and all the knights start rushing towards her,
leaving us alone to deal with the guards... Even "sweet Timor" has
the hormone fever...
BIC:
As I enter I look around to get an idea of what's going on. There's
one prisoner, so she might tell us something about this place, which
means I don't have to be careful to leave one of the bad guys alive.
All the knights are trying to get to the damsel in distress, so the
priests won't last long. This leaves the three drows to deal with.
Since Saggar and Voriax are holding on, I'll throw my daggers at the
priest fighting Kaddar and then go help Wrent.
If I can get to the poisoned dagger the dead priest drooped, I'll do
so and use it against the guards. If the dagger is too far away, I'll
throw another couple of daggers at the guard fighting Wrent, trying
to approach the dagger at the same time. If he's too close or if
anyone gets in my way, I'll use my mace instead of the daggers.
DM
Max begins chanting point a hand at the High Priest that is fighting with
Legildur. A spray of Colour washes over Legildur whose back is turned toward
Max and the High Priest. The High Priest seems distracted by it but little
else. Voriax chants and fires a spray of Colour at the warrior attacking him.
The warrior stands dumbfounded in front of Voriax. Timor chants and moves at a running pace to the South wall. No one seems to even try to stop him. He arrives next to the chained lady.
Meanwhile Legildur's sword moves like the claw of some insane beast. The High priest attempts to avoid it but ends up with two huge bloody gashes. Kinson attacks one of the three remaining priests. Once again the nimble black robed priest side steps Kinson and strikes with his dagger. The dagger strikes true (-5 hp and make a save versus poison for me).
Biladoc launches two daggers at the priest fighting the now failing Kaddar. The daggers strike true, one hitting the priest in the abdomen and the other in the left eye. The black robed priest drops like a sack of old grain. Kaddar brings his staff up to swing it again but begins to shake violently and falls to the ground shivering in pain. Alof moves forward and throws two more daggers. They go wild and one strikes Kinson in the back (-2hp).
Wrent attacks with two blades in a flurry of strokes that sends one of the large warriors back pedalling. Wrent cuts two gashes in the warriors forearm and chest. The large man returns with a large down stroke that strikes Wrent's chainmail but is deflected. Max throws three darts at the High Priest fighting Legildur. One dart strikes the High Priest making him stumble as he again cuts a slash in Legildur. this time hitting his arm ( -3 from dagger, -9 from numbing).
Saggar cleaves deep into one of the warriors skulls with his axe. The warrior drops to the ground.
ACTIONS: 2 black robed priest remain standing with one badly wounded high
Priest. One warrior is charmed. One is dumb founded, and one remains standing and Fighting Wrent.
SAGGAR
Saggar turns throwing another hand axe into the back of the high priest before the alter
LEGILDUR
OOC:
I hope the High Priest is hurting - I know Legildur isn't smiling.
BIC:
Legildur nearly fumbles Vinguard as the High Priest's ensorcered dagger strikes his armoured sword arm, temporarily numbing it as the magic of the ceremonial blade drains a part of the elf's life blood. Circling the High Priest warily, and recalling some of the moves shown him by Lord Doth seemingly such a long time ago, a now pale-faced Legildur takes some satisfaction from the mundane injuries he has inflicted and searches for a further gap in the priest's defences with a series of testing thrusts and slashes.
Suddenly, seeing Saggar, over the shoulder of the evil cleric, pivot and
wind up to launch his hand axe at the High Priest's back, Legildur attempts
to fix the Priest in position with his sword work in order to give the
dwarf a stable target. Legildur uses this preparation to open the Priest's
defences and, timing his own attack to arrive just after the axe should
strike the cleric to increase his own chances, strikes with all his skill
in an attempt to finish the unholy being.
BILADOC
Seeing only two priest standing and the effectiveness of my daggers,
I'll keep throwing them at the priest fighting Kinson or at the one
fighting Legildur. If they're down already, I'll attack any of
the warriors still standing (if the charmed one turns to attack his
companions, I'll leave him be... for now).
I smile at Alof:
"Try aiming at Kinson, maybe you'll get the priest..."
KINSON
Kinson briefly looks down after the priest's dagger slips
through his armour and finds its mark. Then he feels the sudden
bite of a second dagger strike his back (Thanks Alof). Thinking
there might be a second attacker behind him, he manoeuvres himself
to be able to take a quick look. Seeing no immediate threat from
behind he redoubles his attack on the priest before him.
KADDAR
I think there is not much I can do, I grab my own cloths with the left
hand and put pressure with them against the wound on my chest so I stop
loosing blood and try to move closer to Timor while I keep telling to
him:
"This poison is killing me...".
VORIAX
Voriax will move towards the last two normal priests and fire off another
colour spray. I guess Legildur can knock the high priest around some more.
MAXIMILLION
OOC:
I believe there is still one active fighter opposing us
where Max is located.
BIC:
Max will tell his charmed friend. "Stop that fighter from hurting
me." and points to the last active fighter.
Max will throw darts at any enemies that are near enough.
If he believes that he can get close enough to one of the priests and throw darts at them he will do so.
WRENT
If the fight goes on, Wrent will fight until he sees no enemy standing. (Unless He's sent to the ground of course!)
DM
Legildur exchanges a series of thrusts and parries with the High Priest. The Exchange ends with Legildur's sword deep in the high Priests chest. The priest mumbles a curse on Legildur and all his descendants as he slides to the floor with a glazed look in his eye.
Saggar turns and throws an Axe at one of the remaining warriors. His axe misses and hits the stone wall. The Axe shatters into a million pieces. Kaddar holds his hands to his chest as he crawls towards Timor. His shivering growing worse. Voriax moves forward chanting he holds up his hands and a wash of colour sprays across the face of one of the black robed priests. He stops transfixed where he stands.
(Note: earlier I made a mistake and only one of them was left standing.) Two of Alof's daggers strike the stunned priest killing him instantly. Kinson begins to gurgle as pain shoots through his body. He falls to his knees the pain from the poison taking over his entire system. Max directs his charmed warrior to stop the other fighter. The last remaining fighter swings and looses his grip on his sword. His two-handed sword skitters across the floor as the charmed warrior swings disconnecting his head from his shoulders. His head bounces off the wall and rolls to a stop somewhere near the pentagram. The warriors body stands there for a few seconds before falling to the ground lifeless. Wrent seeing no enemy left holds his blow. Biladoc holds two daggers in his hands. he glances around ready to through the pointy objects at any enemy.
(There are 1 charmed fighter, and one colour sprayed fighter. All the priests are dead.)
WRENT
Hence, Wrent runs towards the blinded fighter, not to kill him, but to throw him down to the ground & disarm him.
SAGGAR
Saggar moves to the female warrior he freed and finishes releasing her from
her bindings
LEGILDUR
Legildur sneers at the High Priest's curse. Using his foot as a brace
against the lifeless body he withdraws Vinguard, red blood dripping to the
floor from the point. Standing over the carcass Legildur mumbles a quiet
soldier's curse to the evil cleric "But it is I who still stands!" before
spitting caustically onto the prone form. Satisfied his job is done, he
turns to see the battle is won: Saggar releasing the intended sacrifice;
Wrent securing the stunned warrior.
Turning further Legildur suddenly sees Kinson writhing in pain on the floor
nearby. "Kinson!!" he calls in alarm as he rushes to the warrior's aid.
Dropping to his knees and flinging off his shield and sword Legildur begins
to assess the warrior's injuries. Not seeing any substantial wound on
Kinson and noticing the dull paste on a nearby dropped dagger, Legildur
realises that he has been poisoned. "Timor!" Legildur calls sharply to the
priest, "Kinson needs you NOW! He is poisoned."
"Damn clerics!" he swears loudly as he sees that Kaddar is also down.
"Saggar. Leave that girl and see to Kaddar. He is gravely injured."
DM
Saggar frees the girl from her bounds and picks up his hand axe. The girl nods but says nothing. She walks over to the dead high priest and kicks him in the head. Still she says nothing. Kinson drops to the floor and begins to pant for Breath. Kaddar is almost passed out at this point. Wrent binds the stunned warrior with a thick peace f rope. Soloman remains trapped in the blue energy field.
WRENT
As the muscled elf finishes the binding of the blinded warrior, he mumbles:
"Now we should interrogate this two (referring to the blinded & the charmed one)..."
And when he realises he can't see Kaddar standing, he runs to aid him in anyway he might.
KADDAR
If I survive this, remind me to kill Max !!!! (just kidding).
If I can speak, I will loudly say to Max:
"Never do something like this again Sir Maximillion, you have driven us into great danger, I could not leave you alone and see what happened to me ... this poison is killing me!".
LEGILDUR
OOC:
Some of you guys concern me a little that your turns have not
reflected that two party members are gravely ill and require immediate
attention. The warning signs of poison from Charles were in the posts
commencing with round 2 of the battle and have been reiterated by him in
each round since then.)
BIC:
Worried about the two friends suffering the effects of the poison, Legildur
looks around once more for the clerics to do their thing (OOC: where are
John and Kermie?). Not willing to wait any longer, Legildur quickly
scrambles through Kinson's gear until he locates the potion of extra
healing (identical to the one Legildur himself is carrying). Cradling
Kinson's head he pours a dose of the potion down the struggling warrior's
throat, hoping that the ingestion of curative will assist him in fighting
the poison.
KINSON
With the little strength he has, Kinson tells Legildur:
"Organise a search, there may be an antidote in the enemies stuff. You must
bleed the wound quickly to try and get the poison out. Help me get my armour off."
He starts trying to take his armour off.
LEGILDUR
Legildur listens intently to Kinson's words after administering the potion.
"Hold on friend," says Legildur to the ailing warrior, "We'll get you out
of this yet."
"Alof, Biladoc and Voriax. Search the priests first to see if you can find
any potions to help our friends. Quickly!"
"They're just getting the antidote now." he says as he begins to unbuckle
the numerous straps and clasps securing the plate mail worn by Kinson,
removing pieces around the wound so that Legildur can access it. Once the
wound is accessible, Legildur takes some cloth from the robes of a nearby
(dead) priest and soaks it in water and quickly begins to wipe the area
clean (including in the wound if possible - it's gonna hurt!) to prevent
any further poison entering the wound. Next, taking his dagger he slices
the wound afresh in an attempt to use the blood flow to expel any poison
from the site.
ALOF
When I see all of the commotion over the poison I quickly begin to
search the priests (starting with the head priest). I will ask the girl
who was just released to give me a hand.
If I find the antidote or any type of liquid or potion I'll bring it to
whoever is tending to Kinson and/or Kaddar. If I find nothing then I
will stand by to help out where I am needed. (If I am not needed I will
start to gather my daggers and any daggers or weapons on the ground and
I will begin to search the dead priests.
TIMOR
----------------
Timor looks up and around. His own mind begins to spin with concern.
Never letting his mind waver from his days of training at the temple
though, Timor rushes to Kinson's side.
Timor stares at Legildur as he does so - "Which one was that?"
(assuming Legildur answers "potion of healing", or "elixir of healing")
Timor shakes his head, "That will only alleviate some pain... will not
stop its source."
Timor now turns his head and looks towards Kaddar. Though he has to
squint his eyes, Timor can still make out who is who in this dim
lighting.
As he turns his head rapidly between to the two injured, he begins
barking out commands in a way that is very uncharacteristic of Timor -
perhaps because this is his area of expertise; the reason he has trained
in the temple; one of his sole reasons for being here...
"Quickly, remove their armour so that the festering wounds in the skin can
be seen." The priest realises the two people can't do it themselves, but
he is hoping that nearby companions will be able to lend a hand and help.
Timor himself has his own preparations to make (see below) hence, he
himself can not help with the removal of armour.
As the brown eyed priest unfastens the water skin from his side, he
realises there is only a cup or so water left..."Damn this place!" he
says in a utterance to himself as a way of cursing his low water supply
and to curse the whole situation. None the less - he does continue.
Timor tosses his water skin to whomever is nearest to Kaddar.
"Catch - wash off the wound as best you can."
Walking over to Kinson, Timor slips a small piece of an herb from his
pouch - only those closest to him (Kinson and Legildur) notice by the
smell that it is garlic. "Sir Kinson, this _will_ sting, but, Elanna
willing, will *slow* the poison's process...hopefully long enough for Max
to get an antidote from his ensorcered friend."
With that said, Timor uses the garlic in his hand and begins rubbing it
against Kinson's poisoned wound. As he does so, Timor calls for aid from
Elanna.
"Oh Great Elanna, healer of the wounded - I, Timor Greystone, your humble servant, ask your gracious power again...this time to combat the evil that resides in Kinson's blood - the poison that makes him grow weak..."
(ooc dm: that was a slow poison spell)
Timor then hurries to Kaddar's side to perform the same miracle.
(ooc dm: that was a second slow poison spell)
***Hopefully, Max is able to get a possible antidote from Mr. charmed
man.*** If not, Timor calls out to the others to help him search for a
possible antidote amongst the fallen. As they search, Timor looks to
Legildur, "Did any of those elixirs found earlier posses magical readings
indicating that they may be neutralising curatives? (were any of those
boxes of potions a neutralise poison)
(but I already know the answer, so, assuming Legildur says no)
Timor looks to the now free prisoner.
"My dear...our time limit is very questionable - any assistance you could provide would be greatly appreciated - do you know of any neutralisers or antidotes that these men
And just because it has always seemed to prove useful in the past (why

up there by our own flickering light sources and steady blue glows...
OOC:
Someone is taking care of that second guy right? The one who was only colour-sprayed? Eventually he will be able to see clearly again... and even if when he can't see clearly, he can still make himself a pain in the a... err... rear. So, so someone may want to disarm and bind him - I think I saw someone mention this, but just wanted to make sure that he wasn't forgotten. ;)
Oh yeah, and Timor is going to want to get back his now-empty water skin - he tossed it over to whomever was besides Kaddar so that that person could rinse down Kaddar's poisoned wound; but that's later I guess...
Were it not for the adrenaline of the moment, Timor would be devoid of energy - after all, he just cast two very powerful (for him) incantations in rapid succession and is drained of a lot of mental energies. When he has had a moment to let the rush were off, he will more than likely need a chance to sit down and catch his breath
Some fight... It's the first time the party is this severely hurt, since we entered the maze. Kinson and Kaddar are badly injured. Everyone is looking around for some way of fighting the poison. Will they succeed? Read the next chapter and find out.
