SHANNA
Shanna nods her head, "I shall tell you an old story then. A story of the Third Dragon War." She pauses for a second so everyone will listen. The bar made brings some uncooked beef for Shadow. Fraxen keeps slurping and slamming his mug on the table. Shanna finally looks him right in the eye and slaps him upside his head.

FRAXEN
Fraxen,"OWE! I am being quiet already lass. Don't be a hitting me while I am drinking. I could have spilled some of this good dwarven brew."

SHANNA
Shanna smiles,"A long time ago there where two great empires that rules the entire land. In the North there was the Nindar Empire and in the South was the Great Silreptia Empire. The Nindar Empire was compromised of the Mighty Nindari as well as the four tribes of Nindar. The Silreptia Empire was led by the old greater Wyrms and their kin where the cannon fodder of the armies. " "At the beginning of the Third Dragon War the Silreptia Empire built a giant fleet and sailed to the North Lands. There they landed near what is now called the Swamp of Ill Dreams. At that time the Great city of Gothar stood there on the rocky cliffs. The Chask woods use to stretch all the way to Gothar. There the hordes of the Silreptia forces clashed with the Nindar Might. Gothar was known to be a fortress city and one of the main bastions of the Nindar Empire. The battles there lasted for near a decade. They also raged throughout the Chask Forest. many sections of the old woods where burned to the ground. " "Towards the end of the battle for Gothar the lizard hosts had destroyed the main gate and had entered the city. The Windari warriors attempted to hold the streets with steel and arrows. While the Deldari and Mindari mages and warrior mages rained fiery spells upon the invaders singing them and turning their skins black. They grew tired as the endless hosts prodded forward using brute strength as well as dabs of magic to slowly push the Nindar Hosts Back. " "Then it was that the Great Wyrm known As Dracomorte arrived flying over the city. His two hundred foot form deflecting the many arrows that streaked up at it. IT blasted the walls of Gothar with mighty spells opening a large breach. As the Windari poured into the breach to seal it the Wyrm descended upon them. It was then that the Nindari Hero known as Slayvein Wrym slayers appeared leaping over the Windari Warriors ahead of him. He landed at first into a horde of foul smelling reptile men. He swung his twin Broad Swords around in circles as if dancing with them. The hordes parted before him as he slayed them with ease. Then Dracomorte confronted him and breathed upon him. The gasses from his breath turned those around the Mighty Slayvein to stone. However, he was not phased as he leapt upon the great wyrm's back. The battle lasted several minutes with the great Wyrm finally falling to the ground dead. Slayvien was injured as he slammed into the ground. He got to his feet to see a horde of Reptile men charging forward. Their bone spiked clubs in hands they charged him. He fought but was mortally wounded as night fell. The Windari managed to fight their way to him and retrieved him to the red citadel where he passed away to the fields of Arcadia. There died one of the greatest heros the Nindar had ever known. " "The next morning the battle raged on and finally what was left of the Nindar soldiers retreated into the underground tunnels. Their enemies pursued them and killed many. However, a large portion of what was left of the Deldari managed to escape." "The Silreptia hosts celebrated within the city of Gothar. The tomb of Slayvein was sealed but the hosts where trying to enter it to get to the treasures that where sure to be there, and to desecrate his body. At this point the Nindari Queen Kissame appeared and weaved great Magics. She parted with part of her soul to cast a spell that caused a great quake. The Ground oozed slime and water and the City of Gothar collapesed and sank. Forming what is now know as the Swamp of Ill Dreams. " Shanna at the party, 'Enough of stories now for that beer sir Biladoc. My throat goes dry." Drake is very quiet during the telling of this entire story.

FELIX
Grumbling Felix sits down and listens to the story ..... after the story his looks do not change he picks at his food and hardly touches his drink .

ALOF
Turning to felix I ask in Zanta "why ya so upset ? I mean we killed some owl bears and you've met some new friends!

FELIX
Felix looks at Alof and says , " Hurr how would ya feel if you we a thief and everyone knew who you were and they plotted to kill some of you kind ..... oh sure the thieves here are arses , and I my self wouldn't be forced to do so , but it's the thought that counts. Right now I would rather be feeling the wind in me hair and the smell of the ocean not stuck in some lousy landlubbin hiddy hole , although the music be very nice Hurr Hurr Hurr . " , He takes a gulp from his ale and continues , " Hurr I've tried to forget my past so don't expect me ta remember ya ." He then turns back to watch the bard sing.

CARYNTH
The druid walks into the inn with a flashy scimitar on her hip,with engravings down the hilt. She looks satisfied as she joins the group and eyes Fraxen's ale. "Dwarven ale, eh? The best!" However, not trying to scam some, she motions for the bar maid. "Soi, what say all about this thieves' guild? I'm ready for a little more action before I leave this town." Nodding at Shana, "I heard your voice from the street, as I came in. It will be a pleasure having you travel with our party."

SHANNA
Shanna shakes her head, "I can not travel with you. I am looking for roses at the moment. I have things that I need to take care of on my own. But, perhaps we will meet again."

BILADOC
I look at my cousin Felix and say: 'What's the matter with you? I thought you were looking for adventure, fame and fortune. Is there a better way to get all three than what we are proposing?' I say to Alof and the rest of the party: 'I say we stay here tonight and wait for the knights. In the morning we can go look for Grumach, the elves and the dwarf. Besides, we don't exactly know where they are.' I then turn to Shanna and ask her: 'Roses? What exactly do you need roses for, if you don't mind me asking?' I look at Draco: 'You seem very quiet and even a bit sad, since Shanna finished her story. Do you want to tell me why?' SHANNA
Shanna smiles, "It is very complicated Biladoc. Someday you may understand. I cultivate roses is the best I can tell you. If you ever have need of me leave word for me here at the Green Dragon. Of if you should ever have some interesting information for me please leave word as well." With that Shanna gets up. "It grows late and I have others things to do. I must be on my way now."

DRACO
Draco looks up, "It is just that we came from such great sadness and tragedy. Why could the fathers not see the error of their ways. WE once ruled all the lands and probably could still today."

ALOF
Turning to the party I say "well , what are we going to do shall we wait here for Humprhey's group or could you Shanna just wait for him and tell him to come to the sewers? I take it that's where we're sleeping, Am I right? Well what's it gonna be?"

SHANNA
Shanna shakes her head, "your sleeping in the sewers instead of a nice Inn like this? I have business to attend to and can't wait around all day. After all I have roses to look after. ."

FRAXEN
Fraxen looks have drunk as he says, "Sewers I don't need no stinkin sewers."

DRACO
Draco just smiles and chuckles to himself in the corner. Kaddar seems quite amused. by the whole thing. "Perhaps we should wait until Fraxen is a little more fit."

DM
The evening Drags on and Shanna sings several more songs to entertain the members of the company. It begins to grow dark in the Inn of The Green Dragon. The Bar Keep comes over to your tables and asks, "Is there anything else I can get you?" Each of you has spent 3 gold on food drink et.

FELIX
Felix looks at Alof," Hurr you can go sleep in the sewers not me Oii like a nice bed thank you Hurr."

BILADOC
I say to Shanna: 'I hope we meet again in more pleasant times than these.' I say to the party and the bar keeper: 'Some of us have already a room here. Why don't the rest of us share another? '
I turn to Draco and ask him: 'What do you exactly mean when you say "We once ruled all the lands and probably could still today" ?'

FRAXEN
"I agree with him. We need to stay here and wait, and then seek out the dwarf. We managed to save Felix after all, didn't we?"

FELIX
Felix looks at Fraxen and says ,"What !!!... Rescued !!!! Why don't you tell me what You rescued me from Hmmmmmmm I was doing right nicely in my escape myself and then you all drop in and all hell breaks loose you all almost ended up dead you call that a rescue?!!"

DRACO
Draco shakes his head, "Perhaps I mis spoke What I meant was that we probably could still rule today. If it where not for the wars that we waged in the first and second age."

DM
Shanna says good bye and departs out the door. As you discuss your final room arrangements you can see outside that Humphrey, Kinson, Dain, and Lapis are returning to the Inn. They have yet not entered however.

BILADOC
I turn to the party and say: 'I see our friends have arrived. Why don't we ask them what they are planning to do and reach a decision together?' I turn to the Inn keeper and say: 'Inn keeper, I think we'll need more than one room.'

CARYNTH
The druid nods her head sagely. "A little tolerance is a large thing. I am all for helping anyone with the thieves' guild, but I must say that I will be glad when I turn toward the path of this elven war. To fight on the side of a good is surely what my goddess meant for me." She picks up her glass of ale. "Of course, I will follow this party in whatever their immediate ventures may be. I feel a need to test out my new scimitar," patting the silver blade.

FELIX
Felix looks directly at the druid and says , "Hurr So you would claim to be good yet you would be willing to slay someone because you "wish to test your new sword" Humph and you think you are better than the guild you wish to destroy ........ I think you all should reconsider your options before you charge headlong into something as deadly as a thieves guild Hurr Hurr Hurr . If you destroy the guild what results would affect the city HMMMMM I think you should go to your rooms and forget the guild Hurr ." Felix then pushes himself away from the table and goes to his room .

ALOF
I try to fall back into the shadows and slip outside to see whats happening. I say to Biladoc " I'll wave my hand to you if there's trouble. If there is give me some back up." With saying that I go out the door.

FRAXEN
I follow Alof.

DM
Kinson and the rest of Humphrey's band waves as they get to the Inn.

CARYNTH
The druid hangs her head, acknowledging felix the conscience, then murmurs, "It seems we were about to rescue Jiminy Cricket." Then, a little louder, "Whatever! I'm up for what you guys are! Let's see what these others say. Perhaps the man is right, and we should move on to a war, where at least people acknowledge the risks when they join up."

KINSON
Kinson approaches those folks he recognizes that are still in the common room and says: "Hello everyone. All is well I hope? Any news for us? Sorry we were gone as long as we were. Is everyone ready to get back to the hunting the bad guys?" Then he smiles and chuckles.
DAIN
"Greetings fellow travellers. We regret our delay in joining you all for a tankard of ale. Alas we are here. Shall we confer on what our plans are to be over a tankard of ale?"

There were some more talk about what to, where to go, and finally everyone went to bed, trying to get at least a few hours sleep. Lets see what the morning brings to this once again enlarged party. (You will notice some dialogues are missing, and I'm not including the actions of sir Humphrey's party and of the elves we met. Are they keeping track of their doings? Who kept John's spell book and the teach-yourself-draconic-in-a-couple-weeks manual? Carynth? Gathrax? And the money he had?)
