When the first explorers came to Setar, they found a grassy, pristine planet. They never saw the Tikahn, the planet's native sentient species.
The Tikahn found the small colony of Saer fascinating, but frightening. Huge creatures falling from the sky, followed by smaller creatures. They thought thestrange new creatures were some new predator bend on devouring every last one of them.
Time passed, and the huge creature grew, but never threatened the Tikahn. The braver Tikahn would dare each other to venture to the great creature, but none would ever go.
One fateful day, a Tikahn known as Redael stumbled into Saer after a run in with a pack of Guufers. She was the first Tikahn ever to look at Saer up close. She found that it was not a creature after all, but a great city. The inhabitants took her in and cleaned her wounds. They taught her their language, and she told of the Tikahn society. The strangers from the stars called themselves Humans, and when the day came for Redael to return home, she invited the Humans to meet her family.
The Humans and Tikahn exchanged ideas and cultures, and the Tikahn wished to know more of the Galaxy. The Humans offered sanctuary from Setarian predators, and the Tikahn accepted. Many forgot their old ways and asimilated themselves into Human society.
After a century of coexistence, the Tikahn culture is virtually nonexistent. They have forgotten their language, and no longer fear predators.
The Tikahn are a tall, hairless species, with large black eyes and blue skin. They have no nose, but have a nostril on each of their temples.
