K'krr Mastiff

This large creature is one of the most popular combat creatures of the Yaeger sector. Naturally a pack animal, they easily form close and lasting attachments to members of just about any species, if they are cared for while young. Standing around 1.6 meters at the shoulders, they have a somewhat pebbly blue skin, and a remarkably powerful build. K'krr have four legs, with the first pair being somewhat larger than the rear. The K'krr have a heavy, rectangular head that contains three rows of razor sharp teeth. They are a live bearing species, having about four pups per litter.
Naturally predators and scavengers, K'krr easily adapt to processed food, but they do eat a lot of it. In general, they can be assumed to eat twice the food that a full grown human does. Other than that, they do need exercise, and are prone to wreaking total havoc on their surroundings when they are kept in one place for too long.

Special Abilities:
* Natural Weapons and Armor. Claws: STR+1D+2, Bite: STR+2D+2. The skin of the K'krr is rather thick, and provides them a +1D bonus against physical attacks.
* Sense of scent: The K'krr's sense of scent is nearly unmatched. In addition to giving them the tracking total that they have, it also enables them to recognize the scents of different members of various species almost without fail, allowing them to penetrate many otherwise perfect disguises. It also allows them to detect trace amounts of restricted substances, and many weapons due to the distinctive metal and oil smells they emit.
Weaknesses:
* Sense of scent: The K'krr's sense of scent is nearly unmatched. The power of this sense renders them particularly sensitive to the effects of distracting or offensive scents, as well as to the effects of nasally delivered narcotics or poisons.
