My Sister, Shayla

Shayla is my little sister by two years. I care for her the most out of all my relatives. I don't know if it's a big brother thing, or because we have such a strong bond. We can talk openly about things and we get along great. She graduated from high school in '97 and we couldn't have been any prouder. For a while we didn't know if she was, but she pulled it out and started a new life. Now she's living with her boyfriend in their own place, and they're doing great. I wish her all the best; now I have a place to stay when I visit :)

As I said before, my sister rides horses. She loved her horse (Goldie) and took great care of her. She sold Goldie and she doesn't have the change to ride much anymore. Whe she did ride she won awards. In fact she has won many, some of which came from Classic Finals or the step below the State level. This is where she won 1st place in 1995 for Junior "D" Barrels, 2nd place for Junior "C" Cal Stake, 2nd place in "Two man 3 Barrel" and 5th place in "Junior 'D' Flags."
This doesn't even sum up all her awards, she has gone to the State Finals twice. In 1995 she earned a 6th place finish in "Bare Back Relay"and a 6th place in "Intermediate Key Race." In 1996 she finished 5th in "Intermediate Key Hole," 5th in "Figure Eight" and an 8th place in" Intermediate Poles".
