In Final Fantasy VI, Magic is either learned or acquired. The characters learn their magic by means of Espers, the espers teach them, so to speak, how to use the magic as well as Summon them (the Espers.) In order to start learning Magic, find some Espers. The magic system in Final Fantasy VI consits of the following Classes: White Magic White Magic is the cure / restore magic for Final Fantasy VI. Spells include: Cure, Life, Regen and Antidote as well as others. Black Magic Black Magic is the offensive magic for Final Fantasy VI. Spells include: Fire, Ice, Bolt, Quake, X-Zone, Meteor and Flare as well as others. Status Magic Status Magic affects things like speed or agility while in battle. Spells include: Haste, Slow, Shell and Osmose as well as others. Lore Magic Strago is the only one who uses this kind of magic. If he is attacked with a certain spell by a monster, he can learn those.
