You start out in a walking machine called Magitek Armor. You are with two
other people, Wedge and Biggs - soldiers of the empire. Your job: To infiltrate
Narshe and retrieve the frozen Esper.
After the failure of your mission, you begin a life on the road, running
from the empire and trying to decide what the right thing is to do. You meet up
with others who are fighting for the same cause - freedom! The Returners,
their called, are wageing war against the empire. The problem is that the
Returners are too small group, or are they?
You'll meet up with many characters, travel in Airships and on Chocobos. Espers
will grant you their powers and you'll become a master of magic and weapons.
Kefka is out there somewhere, he is a blood thirsty lunatic, and a general in
the empire.
This game is quite possibly the best Squaresoft game ever released. I loved it
from start to finish. I give it a ten moogle rateing! It has some elements from
Final Fantasy V but the new character size is something else! Instead of barely
being able to see who the people in your party are, they are the same in battles,
or in the field. The overworld is taken as a pseudo-3d map that looks great. If
you don't have this game - get it! |
