Cecil
The main character in Final Fantasy 4. You start out as a Dark Knight, commanding
the famous Red Wing Airships. You are reknowned throughout Baron. After the
completion of your first mission, you are released as the commander of the Red
Wings and you and your best friend Kain, the Dragoon, are sent to the Villiage of
Myst.
Kain
Kain is quite a character. As a Dragoon, he has the ability to Jump way up out
of the range of the battle field to come crushing down onto the enemies with his
Spear. Kain owes allegiance to the King of Baron but his dignity and honor in
being a Dragoon take precidence. He also has feelings for a girl named Rosa, but
she has feelings for another - a classic love triangle.
Rosa
Rosa is a White Magician with a heart of gold. At the start of the game, you
see Rosa as she greets you after your mission. You is concerned for you but your
thoughts are elsewhere. Later that night, she comes to visit you and tries to
cheer you up. She is probably the most compassionate character in Final Fantasy IV.
Rydia
A little girl from the Villiage of Myst. After her villiage becomes burned by
firebombs, you decided to take care of her. She comes in handy, but starts out
at level 1. With 30 hit points, she needs to be taken care of - but don't worry,
she levels up fast!
Tellah
A master magician who has seemed to of lost his spells (and his marbles if you ask
me!) He is trying to protect his daughter, Anna, but she has run away with
a Bard. Tellah meets Cecil and they decide to team up - later in the game,
Tellah becomes quite a magician and remembers all his spells. Don't worry,
you'll get them soon enough!
Edward
Prince of Damycan - his castle falls to ruin and he is the only one who
can help in finding the lair of the antlion (possesor of the Sandruby.)
He can Sing and when his hitpoints become too low, he can Hide. He is not
really a useful character, but he does help you on your quest.
Yang
Yang is a master Karate Fighter of Fabul. ACHOOO! is what he will shout as
he goes into battle and he can Kick and Punch. You meet Yang on your way to Fabul.
He is in the mountains, facing enemies when you encounter him. He manages to
hold a good number of them off, but when the odds are stacked against him,
you jump in to help!
Palom & Parom
Twin magicians, one white and one black. They have the ability, together, to
cast Twin spells - causing great damage to enemies. They are quite a cute pair
and aid you well on your quest. While you are with them, you will meet up with
the Tellah again - and this time, he finds his spells!
There are other characters in Final Fantasy IV not covered here. Go find them
and see what they're like!
