Season 6

The Beginning
Well It came it saw and it conquered...but it sucked. i'm sorry. I didn't like it. I rate it above EL MUNDO GIRA and right below EMILY and CHIRSTMAS CAROL! If this is the way the season is going to be I'm not sure I'm going to want to continue to watch it. Number one: Fowley. EVIL B__CH!!!! She should die. And as Mulder said. "I see you are back on your feet so you can stab me in the back again." Mulder is so blinded and so much like a little sheep. You just have to dange a carrot in front of him and he follows. Not caring. At least this time he told Scully that he was ditching her. Which brings me to issue two: Scully. It's about time that she stands up for herself and not to be part of the incrowd. She knows what the truth is and just wont admit to the fact. When is she going to be her own person? Even Mulder said that she needs to tell the truth to to try and be a follower. Number Three: spender. Uhm, he's just a stupid kid that needs to be caught in some kind of cross fire. I think that the whole scene between him and CSM was unimportant. It had to much of "Welcome to the darkside my son. Only now do you understand the power that you possess." Star Wars feel to it. And he also whines to much. But one thing I did notice was that when Mulder mentions something like I hope it's not you that they are using to replace me. And spender tells him that it isn't him but Fowley It comes to mean that He isn't man enough to step up to the task at hand. Number four: CSM. The movei totally had him to a 180. I think this was the most evil that we've have ever seen him. But there were things that I liked. I liked Skinner's new postion. I saw him as Mulder's new informant. I think that would be a good role for him. He did always want to be the one who tried to help Mulder, but couldn't really do a good job do to the fact that he was Mulder's supirior. But now Mulder is under the charge of the chick from "Just Shoot Me" and Skinner can become a little more actve in handing out information. I also thought the interaction between Mulder, Scully and Gibson was good. It shoule them all ave a personal, carring side. Gibson is Scully's Emily. I thought the placement of the hand holding was totally inappropriate for the place they put it in. I was expecting Mulder to pull his hand away out of total disgust. Also the best was the "Simpson" references in the episode. A question to ponder for this week. If we all have this virus in us, and it is what was creating the aliens. And Gibson supposidly is both human and alien. Is it possible that the alien at the end we saw molting will evolve into a human???

Drive
Finally a decent episode. Loved the high speed chases and Mulder's comments throughout it. The cutest is when Mulder and Scully are checking out the manuer dude, who my friend tells me is a country singer. Mulder practicialy begs Scully to let him go and check it out. I also loved the scene where the motorcycle cops pull up to hand Mulder the cell phone. It's funny but everyone I spoke to all agreed that it was a memory of CHiPs. And he left Scully a little love note, that only she could understand. Even she tries to get the truth about what happened and gets lied to. I liked how Mulder acted and behaved with the husband. He cared about the situation it was nice to see hm show the compasion again. And the last scene of him. When he get's out of the car you feel so bad for him that you want to just tell him that it's ok. I was kinda hopping that Scully would do that especially after the hand hold of last week. But at least Scully is willing to stand up for her partner. I loved how she called Kersh a pile of $h!t. But Scully is right. Mulder tried to save a bunch of people, and Kersh doesn't care. Hey let's get rid of Kersh. WE WANT SKINNER!!!!!! Oh is Mulder Jewish? I think he is, especially afer the comments he makes.

Triangle
I LOVE IT!!!!! Really. I thought that it was excelent. I like how the camara moves throughout the whole episode. Oh incase you were curious, i'm a film minor, i like that stuff. The way the camera moved it looked like everything was done in one shot. It gave the episode I very eerie feel. Which did it well. I also liked the symmettry of the first shot of Mulder in the water with him in the water towards the end. it gave the whole episode a nice circular feeling. The best part had to be durring the split screen part. When both Scully's walk by each other and they look back as if they noticed something happened. I take it that from this that Mulder is Jewish. From the way he says that if tey don't stop this then he won't exist. I also thought that it was intresting were each of the characters took their place on the ship. How Skinner was on both sides. But I don't really hate kersh. I think this episode shows that he isn't really woeking for the Consortion, or if he is then he is doing it for his own goals and needs. Also i think that Krycek needed to be there. i think the perfect part for him would be the lacky that was holding the gun on mulder and Scully. I loved it when Scully kissed Skinner. I thought that his expression was great. kinda like shoke and excitement. But the Mulder and Scully's kiss, i don';t think it matter's that it wasn't the real Scully. it's still the same. in Mulder's mind it was the same, the way he says I was expecting the fist, but from the other side, shows this. i do have one point that kind of has me a little off center. the way that Skinner seems so friendly with the LGM and mulder and Scully. Did that happen in the movie?? Oh and of course Scully kicking Spender's ass, verbally.

Dreamland: part 1
I am in shock. I don't know what to think. it was written by what I like to call the holy Trinity; Goat-Boy (Shiban), Vince (Gilligan), and Spotzy (Spotnitz). Actually I liked it, but i think that Scully was a little dumb. I mean she couldn't realize that that wasn't mulder. Mulder would never act like that Okay. WE get the point. Mulder and Scully are not on the X-Files anymore. But why does he have to try and break into Area 51 now. i mean shouldn't he be more concerned about getting the X-Fiels back? I know i would. And dragging your partner out with you. Okay, so it proves how far she'd go for him. but still. Although the conversatiuon nin the car between the two of them was very intresting. And proved to us that she really does love him althougb even if she won't admit it to his face. What did suprise me that ittook a while for Mulder to realize what was happening and to acept it. I mean he does believe in extremempossibilites no? And Scully, couldn't she tell tat it was not Mulder. The way he grabed her butt, and called her babe and treated her and others around them. Can Scully be that dense?? And for mulder. I admit he did have some funny scenes, especially whith the wife and children. But I guess that woiuld be good practice if he and Scully ever get married. I liked how Mulder tried to get Scully to believe that he was really Mulder. I think the yogert thing was a throughback to the movie.
Dreamland: Part 2
Well, here we go again. Scully set him up. That little twit. But at least by the look on her face we know that she doesn't really believe that the guy with her is the real Mulder. And i think that Sculyl get's the clue mostly when he invited her over to his apartment. This is the second person impersinating Mulder who wonders where his bedroom is. At least we know he has one now. But how long do you think that apartment stayed clean. We must thank the person who came up with the idea to have a mirror on over the bed and to have show Mulder and Scully lying next to each other in the mirror. You got to give Mulder credit for the quick thinking to get him out of jail. The bar scene at the end was excelent. It was almost comidic. But I felt bad for Mulder. That women who was his wife. Oh man. He just couldn't get a break. I also loved the way that Mulder and Scully said goodbye. Even the other guy knew that they love each other by the way he says to take a photograph it lasts longer. But my favorite part had to be when Mulder goes back to his apartment at the end and he closes the door. Afew seconds later he reopens it to make sure it's the same apratment. oh one thing that did bother me was the way it seemed like a Star Trek episode, with the time warp and stuff like that. What is this, they gave Star Wars an episode so it's Star Treks turn?

The Ghosts that Stole Christmas
Merry Christmas everyone. Only Mulder would go ghost hunting on christmas. I think this episode shows how alone Mulder and Scully are. Yes, Scully does have a family but her willingness to go and meet Mulder when she has so much to do proves that on the inside she is l0onely, and only Mulder can fill that void. Even the ghosts saw that. The fact that Mulder and SCully both survive the night proves that they each have an inner strength to face the odds even if they are against them as long as they are together. I admit that it was a freeky episode. First Scully's keys go missing, how can she think that Mulder would take them from her. Next finding the bodies in the floor. You know you always have to be careful as to what you were. You never want to wear the same thing as a corpse is wearing. And then with the rooms. The worst had to be when Mulder and Scully shot each other. i screamed. I think this was a great episode. The scare factor was there along with the romantic aspect. It was also a little comical. I mean they had Mulder described to a tea. it was erfect. I think that the writers were on something with the way wrote it. I mean Mulder and Scully crawling on the ground dragging blood behiond them. I didn't know to laugh or to be disgusted. I also liked the end when Mulder and Scully exchanged gifts. I'd love to see what they got each other for the holidays. But I guess that's where Fan Fic comes in. And then Chris says that fan fic is wrong. It's all his fault.

Terms Of Endearment
Little devil babies. I was shocked that Darin Morgan didn't write this one. It was spooky i'll give it that. Again we are shown that Spender is an evil little weasel. Okay, so mulder isn't better by going into his trash can. but he is on garbage assignments. Again Mulder ditches Scully. But she seemed more upset with being stuck with a boring case to work on. i loved her questions. She looked relieved when her phone rang. I must admit, it was like they were on a real X-file. Ok, they were, but it was like the department was back in their hands. And Scully was willing to cover for him like always. This was what we haven't seen in a long time. I think that it was a nice twist at the end that Wyane ended up with another devil. And that it had him giving his wife her life back. i guess not all devils are bad. Isn't that What Darin was trying to tell us with that Millenium ep?? I do have one question though. Mulder said that he wasn't a psychologist. Ok, we know he got his degree in psycology right? Is he saying that he isn't a practicing doctor or that he isn't certified or did the writer make a boo-boo?

Rain Maker
I liked it. It was light and fluffy. A perfect set up for next weeks ep. There were a few plot twists that made it enjoyable. And of course the witty dialouge. It was classic. Things that we will always remember. I still think the best line is when Scully didn't say anything. The X-File that was in the episode was also kind of intresting. But I think by having all centered around the idea of love made it too campy. Espesically with the rainbow and the music at the end of the episode. What also confused me was the time frame of the episode. According to the titles on the bottom of the screen the episode took place over a year and a half It didn't make sence to me. Well it did but I don't know it gave an odd feeling. Also I must say that i wish Scully and Mulder would take their own advice. ESPECIALLY SCULLY. The speach she gave Victoria Jacksons character is too much like her own relationship with her partner. Maybe it was becuase she was speaking from experience. And my last comment on the show. Does it seem that the writters are leaning more towards fan fic or are us fan fic authors getting better at writting???

S.R. 819
I liked it. I thought that it was well done, for Goat-boy (john shiban). I think he is starting to redeem him self. I found the episode was very intresting. It touched on some intrsting ideas that I, as a computer science major find very intresting. The idea of nano technology is intresting, but I thought that it wasn't discussed enough. I wished they did, because it could have been very intreting idea for an X-Files episode. And I liked how they tried to make it look like real polotics were involved, which also made it intresting. it was a very layered episode, but it only touched the surface, I would have liked to see it get more indepth, instead of focus on the relationships of the characters and Skinner's illness. Of course that was important, becusae of the cover up but I still would have like to seen more layers revealed. But there were two other things besides not getting in depth with the underlying subject of the episode. 1. Scully. I thought she was going to tell Skinner off at the end of the episode. Especailly after what he said to her in the hospital. I wonder why Scully seems to be such a weakling. I used to enjoy the times were we see Scully stand up for herself and her partner. (Why I liked Trianagle and the scene with Spender.) But lately it's been a let down. 2. Was the pharse "You think this is about you?" I don't know what exactly bothered me about this. Maybe it was the way Skinner said it with contempt, or the way that Mulder did think it was about him. Ok. I guess this is a time were Scully grows a backbone. She stand up for herself and for Mulder. I must say that I enjoyed Skinner in this episdoe. It was nice to see him get some screen time. it's been so long. I also like the fact that Mulder seems to think of Skinner as a friend, as does Scully. I liked that comraderie. Also did everyone notice Skinner assistant? Didn't she look a little familiar. Oh, like Scully's stunt double, or the person that Mitch went to the premier of the movie with? Yes, I think it was Mrs. Pileggi. How sweet. Now, I know, the moment that most of you who know me are wating for. The ending. Uhm, I would have screemed if the family wasn't asleep. KRYCEK!!!! Oh so cool. Yes yes yes. Krycek and Skinner. All in the same car. Let's put Mulder in there and it's a dream come true. No not a slash story, but my own little harem. But I think that it was a good set up. It left for so many things to take place. Skinner as Mulder's new informant, with Krycek giving him hints. Or the idea that Skinner and Krycek are half brothers. All in all a good episode. In responce to a question I was asked by a friend of mine, I rate it above Christmas Carol and Emily. How far? Not much but it is higher.

Tithious
I think the episodes that hae Mulder and Scully seperated just prove to us how strong the bong between the two of them is. Promoting the theory that they are two halves of a whole and aren't totally complete without the other. This is the reason why Scully calls Mulder and Mulder calls Scully asking and giving help. I admit that I really didn't watch much of the beginning of the episode due to the golden globes and my family wanting doughnuts. But what I did notice was Mulder feeling left out. Partially glad for it and and partially sad for it. He realizes that this is helpful for her carreer yet feels guilty that it has to be at his expecence and that he is the oner slowing her down. Stroy wise I thought that this kind of like unrhue, with the photographs. But like they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. Also i thought they guy they picked to play the photographer was a little spooky looking. The new agent upset me a little. he almost tried to hard. But I think this episode also signifies the fact that Scully has come full circle. She used to be the one that believed in scientific proof of everything. And wanted to call her partner by his first name. And reprimanded her partner for running off on his own. Yet with this new agent she is the one playing Mulder. Also towards the end when Mulder visits Scully in the hospital Mulder tells the agent that he ois lucky. the fact that mulder had warned him earlier not to do anything rash I think he was hinting to the fact that if Scully had died, so would the agent. And finally does this mean that what Clyde Bruckman said was true, that Scully doesn't die? She looked away from death. Ahh more mysteries.
And next week:....OH MY G-D!!!

Two Fathers
I'm not ready. I like being a little lamb led to the slaughter. I thought that the series wasn't ending till season 7 and this is only season 6. Anyway, the episode startedas a guessing game over by me. Who were they opperating on? Marita, Cassandra, Fowley, Samantha? The posobilities were endless. And then who was Cancerman talking to? or shall I call him Mr. Spender? who wants to guess why C.G.B.? Chris Gibson Byers??? Anyway. i thought it was a shrink. that would have been cool. Alright so it being Diana was shocking, but CSM talking to a psycologist...now there is fanfic. ok back to the beginning. Spender seems to be turning into Mulder. Even Skinner hints to it. Brigning up the issue of Spender in the X-Files for personal reasons. Of course after Skinner insinuates that he isn't doing work. We can see tha it has become personal especially when Spender runs to his mother's side. But he still doesn't want to believe. Or except Mulder's help. Both Skinner and his mother try to get Spender to understand. But it doesn't help. Mulder for his part seems to have decided that working isn't neccesary anymore. He is out playing basketball as opposed to being at his desk. Yet when Scully comes in he gives up playing. Does this say that in Mulder's mind he doesn't assocate Scully with work? More with play?? ;-) But Mulder doesn't want the X-Files anymore. he realizes that the assignments that they have him on are $hit. But yet his curiosity gets the better of him and he takes a look at the pictures that Spender wnats him to see. And it is with Scully's little phrase that the images are like those at the time that Cassandra was taken, that pushes Mulder into doing a little digging. When Mulder and Scully go see Cassandra in the hospital, it's intresting to see that Mulder is hiding out in the supply closet. Why doesn't he want people to see him. Is he sacred of Spender? And the hug that Cassandra has for Scully and Mulder is so much more than she had for her own son Jeffrey. Is this because she was abducted like Scully. Or because Mulder believes her and not her own son? And also let's note the fact that Cassandra smokes. Does that mean that there is a good chance that Jeffery will smoke too? Isn't it genetic? Cassandra also seems very calm when she tells Mulder that the aliens are bad. Adn that they are going to come and destroy earth. Any way we see how CSM looks on Jeffery. He seems to favor Mulder over his own son. He defends Mulder and even says that "you aren't half the man that Fox Mulder is." I always thought that Fox was CSM's son. But I wonder why he has so much respect for Mulder over his own flesh and blood. My favorite part had to be when they send Spender to kill the alien. Besides the fact that they send Krycek with him. Ok let me say something here about Krycek. What side is he on?? Or does he have his own side. One second he is trying to keep the consortion away from getting the cure for the Black Cancer, and the next he is driving them around in a car.

(I will hopefully fill in the blank episdoes in the upcoming weeks! thank you for holding on!)

Monday
It’s Groundhogs DAy, X-Files style! There are some redeeming factors to this ep. not many but some. First is the MulderTorture. He gets shot, and we see Scully leaning over him, telling him not to die. And there is also that lovely shot of his chest. Ok ok, out of the gutter and back on to the episode. There was also the deepness of the relaitonship between Mulder and Scully. I’m not talking about the romantical part of it, but the friendship part. How Scully offers to go to the bank for him so he doesn’t get into more trouble. I also liked the little throw back to DREAMLAND I & II with the water bed. So why didn’t Scully remember it? They both forgot everything that occured durring those episodes.. It was nice to see Skinner in the episode. Somthing that hasn’t been occuring recently. Also intresting were the camara shots on Mulder each morning. Each was different to symbolize a ‘new’ repitition of the day. There is only one last thing that I want to say. And it’s actually a little analogy. Mulder’s Pajama pants, wet, to a female wearing a white top to a wet tee shirt contest.

How Much is that puppy in the window?? Anyway. I liked the episode. It was watchable. I LOVED the Scully jelousy thing. I thought there was going to be a cat fight!! And is the internet thing a reference to us philes out in cyberspace? Most probably. Now only if I could meet a man like Mulder on line Ü The episode reminded me of a combo of Teso Dos Bichos and Lazarus(?) with the were wolf boy. but it was better. My favorite part is the ending though. Does anyone else see that the X-Files are now whole because the poster is back in it's place. and you know taht it's in it's place b/c of the music played in the background. do you think that the woman was infactuated with Mulder or not? That is the question on the week.

Meligro
Wow Amazing! First I must say I have nothing to compare this to, although it's a common horror story. Writer's work comes true. But it had never happened before in the X-Files universe. (take a moment all you fan fic authors and think about what would happen if your works were to come true.) Anyway, the shippyness level here as hit another high. First was the line by Phillip. He said "i was wrong that you were looking for love. You already found it." The line is directed towards Scully but then he casts a glance at Mulder. Hmmm. He can see it. WHY CAN'T THEY!!!!! Second was the ending. The look on Mulder's face when he comes back from the basement. Which leads to the fantic hug or clinging to Mulder. And then she cried. I think this is only the 4th time she has cried, 3rd infront of Mulder. On a side note. Has anyone realized the sudden apperence of an incinerator in each season. At least once. Anyway, there was also the look of shock on Mulder's face when he walks in on Phillip's apartment and sees Scully there. I must say that the gore factor was great. The beating hearts made me think of The Tale Tell Heart by Edgar Allen Poe. And the special effects team also did a wonderful job. The scare factor was also great. I know I was yelling at Mulder not to leave Scully in the apartment by herself. The ending was amazing. Not only the Mulder, Scully part, which was also good. But the part with Phillip at the end with his papers burning in the furnace and his heart is in his hand. One thing that I really agreed with in thie was the voice over that stated you don't write characters they write themselves. And also what he said to Scully. To write about someone the author has to know them better than they know themselves. I really enjoyed this episode. And if you are intrested in reading about an authors work coming alive you might want to head over to the Mulder Tortures Anynomus site. And look for the Strange Days series by Fox's Gal.
