Administrator, Allen Canning Company As a Network Administrator I am responsible for installation and maintenance of personal computers and peripherals for the corporate offices and more than 15 remote sites in 5 states. My duties also included software maintenance and training on both purchased programs and in house applications. I am responsible for installing, administrating, and maintaining an Widnows network. I have installed, and continue to upgrade and maintain, a Wide Area Network for Allen Canning Company using leased lines, frame relay, and wireless connectivity options connecting 10/100 and 802.11b Ethernet networks. I helped establish Allen Canning Company's world wide web presence and provide connectivity and security for Allen Canning's internet connection I assisted in the migration from token ring to Fast Ethernet and implementation of Gigabit Ethernet. My responsibilities at Allen Canning Company have also included performing Webmaster for the company website as well as managing the online store. |

1992-1995 | Technician/Programmer, Northeastern State University As a technician/programmer it was my responsibility to maintain and write programs using COBOL and Image. My responsibilities included updating inefficient network structure, updating the existing in-house electronic mail program, assisting in the installation of a token ring LAN, and network troubleshooting and maintenance. I was also involved in software troubleshooting and maintenance. I assisted in the administration of a NetWare 3.12 network with nine mini computers, more then 1000 PCs, and over 40 file servers running on token ring, Ethernet, FDDI, and Wireless remote bridges. |
