English Voice: Billy Crudup Japanese Voice: Yoji Matsuda Ashitaka is the last prince of the Emishi people. After becoming cursed by a deamon boar-god, he sets out to find a way to lift it. He becomes entangled in a war between the forest animal gods and the people of the Irontown village.

Ashitaka becomes friendly with the village, but also begins to fall for San, the human Princess of the Wolf Gods. He does not take sides, but rather tries to find a way for the humans and animals to live together in  peace.

When she was a baby, her parents were caught defileing the forests by Moro, the wolf god. Her parents threw her to the wolf and ran. Moro then raised San as her own, and she grew up with twin wolf

brothers. San has long since been fighting the humans of Irontown, determined to kill them even if it should mean her death. She loathes Lady Eboshi above all. When she meets Ashitaka, she is torn between her love of him and her mission for her home.
