The ideal public safety portable radio -
1. receives and transmits from anywhere
2. has a battery that never dies
3. is always on the correct channel
4. always has the volume level set just right
5. does not allow doubling/2 people to blow each other off the air
6. has a push-to-talk feature which is foolproof/handsfree/?uses voice recognition capabilities
7. allows duplex communications with other field units and dispatchers (like a telephone - two people can talk at once - like face to face)
8. is no bigger than a pack of cigarettes - mounts on shoulder or chest or helmet
9. allows contact to FEMA HQ or state EMA HQ or mutual aid dispatchers or planes or ships or trains or etc
10. will not break if used to break holes in cement walls
11. costs less than a Jaguar or Rolls Royce
