1996 Statistics - 66 fire deaths (includes 1 senior fireman) - 32,000 fire calls + 21,000 special service calls (includes motor vehicle accidents - involved 515 deaths and 2,000 injuries) - got Trunked Radio System and new Dispatch Office - have 68 fire stations + 29 ambulance depots + 5 boat stations (with 6 fire boats) - April 2000 got small hovercraft from USA - adding motorcycle EMS units in 2000 - cutting fire and EMS positions in 2000 - adding stations and amb depots (1996?) - alarm levels from 1 to 5 - typical attendance for a first alarm in the urban area shown (1E + 1L + 1SN + 1 small R + 1A)
