My dept. is made up of full time and part time members. The population of Brewer is about 9000 +/-. We have some of the full time members bitching that our Chief and the city does not support them when it comes time for that new union contract.

In the last year alone all members were outfitted with new turnout gear to the tune of about $900 a set. Forty sets were purchased. New jaws were purchased for about $16,000. Last but not least we just received a new Pierce Dash 2000 Quint which was just pennies under $500,000.

Maybe after reading your post they will see just how good they do have it. If you need any 2 1/2" hose, please let me know. I'm sure we could give up a few lengths.
