All Public Safety Communications within Lake County operate in the conventional mode, with the exception of the Florida Highway Patrol, which has just recently moved to the State Joint Task Force (JTF) Motorola Smartnet ASTRO Trunking system operating on 9 Channels in the NPSAC 866-869 frequency band.
